Did you know that Calgary has 8,500 hectares of parks with 160 off-leash dog parks?!

We conducted a survey via Instagram and received 59 suggestions from YOU to help select some of the best!  Amongst your favourites were River Park, Sue Higgins, Tom Campbell's Hill, Bowmont, Play Unleashed, Nose Hill Park, Sandy Beach, and Edworthy.

That being said, let's dive in to some of the favourites:

1.  River Park
Looking for a place to unwind and soak up the sun? River Park has you covered! With its riverside trails and off-leash zones, it's the perfect destination for a leisurely stroll or a game of frisbee with your furry sidekick.

 

2. Sue Higgins Park
Get ready to make a splash at Sue Higgins Park! This pup-approved destination features expansive off-leash areas and tranquil ponds where your dog can take a dip and cool off on a hot day. It's the paw-fect spot for water-loving pups and their adventurous humans.

 

3. Nose Hill Park
Nose Hill Park isn't just a park—it's a canine paradise! With over 2,500 acres of open space to explore and stunning views of the city, your furry companion will be in doggy heaven. Plus, the off-leash areas are perfect for a game of fetch or a leisurely stroll with your best buddy.


4. Tom Campbell's Hill Park
Treat your pup to sweeping panoramic views of downtown Calgary at Tom Campbell's Hill Park! 10. McHugh Bluff
Last but not least is McHugh Bluff.  Nestled atop the Bow River, this gem offers stunning views of the city skyline and the Bow River below. With designated off-leash areas and plenty of space to explore, it's an ideal spot for a scenic adventure with your canine companion.
