We think a dog collar should be lightweight, strong, and flexible and hold up to thousands of miles of adventure. These Explore Collars are made with Biothane, a strong coated webbing that's easy to clean. Let's celebrate the end of manky collars 🎉

How to measure for the perfect collar fit

We Recommend
  • Measure around your dog's neck leaving two fingers of room.
  • Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string that you measure with a ruler.
Not Recommended
  • Guessing (yes, I see you making it up on the fly!)
  • Measuring an existing collar. This may result in an inaccurate fit unless collar thickness, hardware etc are the same.
Collar Widths

Our biothane collars are offered in two widths - 3/4 inch (20mm) or 1 inch (25mm). The size you choose really depends on your dog, their size, and their neck length. Here is a rough guide:
  • 3/4" width: Neck sizes 10-15 inches
  • 1" width: Neck sizes great than 13"

Additional Features

Explore gear is pretty awesome stuff. All of our Explore Gear uses genuine Beta Biothane®, a coated webbing made in the USA. The gear is

  • Waterproof, dirtproof, and made for adventure.
  • The inner webbing core makes the gear strong; much stronger than leather of similar thickness.
  • The coating is flexible, even when it's cold outside, and feels almost leather-like. It resists scrapes, scuff, and cracking, and isn't prone to mildew or mold. However, it isn't chew-proof (sorry friend, nothing but metal really is).
  • Cleaning is a snap - use some soap and water and you are good to go.
  • We carefully select our hardware to be durable and reliable.
